Time to Bounce Back: Better Days Ahead for Fixed Income Allocators and Managers

Fixed income is resilient to say the least, after historical lows it is time to work smarter and not harder on building your fixed income portfolios in 2023. Amid geopolitical concerns of war, pandemic to endemic, volatility in the markets, and inflation concerns, investors are finally looking at a recalibration, but upward transition may be slower than expected. Staying on top of market and macro factors is important, more than ever. While investor interest remains high in private credit, there is no denying that bonds remain a part of diversified portfolios. Despite a tough year, fixed income is one of the portfolio solutions for those long-term investors who can take advantage of the dislocations of the market with widening credit spreads and create a buffer through multisector diversified portfolios. There are always opportunities created amid a volatile environment and it is time to find them!
